Immune deficiencies are rare conditions. Diagnosis requires blood based pathology testing to identifiy specific defects of the immune system that may increase the risk of certain types of infections or other problems. Those who have established immune deficiencies can have problems as a result of this, such as lung conditions including bronchiectasis and other problems. In some cases, genetic testing is considered and recruitement to research studies can be offered.
